Summary of Position

​

The Technical Lead - Healthcare Technology and AI is a key role responsible for supporting the company's technology strategy, innovation, and digital transformation. This position will play a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with the company's overall business objectives, ensuring the effective and efficient use of technology resources, and leading a talented team of technology professionals to deliver exceptional results.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Technology Strategy: Support and execute a comprehensive technology strategy that supports Abax Health's business goals and objectives.

• Salesforce Strategy: Lead and execute a multi-tiered strategy that maintains and improves operational efficiency for Abax Health’s primary production platform.

• Innovation Leadership: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the technology team, promoting the exploration and adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

• Digital Transformation: Support the company's digital transformation efforts, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.

• Team Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the technology team, including mentoring, and developing talent.

• Resource Management: Effectively allocate and manage technology resources, including optimizing productivity and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

• Vendor and Partner Management: Maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners, ensuring the company receives value and innovative solutions.

• Security and Compliance: Support security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

• Technology Architecture: Maintain & support the technology architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments to understand their technological needs and develop solutions that align with their objectives.

• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technology-related risks to ensure business continuity.

• Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on technology initiatives, progress, and outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

​

• Engineer, maintain and execute client data import/export strategies for operations.

• Create and maintain architecture, platform and system documentation including diagrams, white papers, help text and training.

• Execute a technology roadmap that aligns with business objectives.

• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of technology solutions.

• Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and collaboration within the technology team.

• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for business improvement.

• Ensure the availability, security, and performance of technology systems and infrastructure.

• Champion data-driven decision-making processes through the effective use of data analytics and business intelligence tools.

• Drive efficiency and automation across the organization through technology initiatives.

• Maintain a strong focus on cost management and budget adherence.

• Cultivate a positive and productive work environment within the technology department.

 

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

​

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Proven track record of at least 5 years in technology roles.

• Minimum of 5 years experience in healthcare data.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing technology strategies that drive business growth and innovation.

• Ability to motivate and inspire technology professionals.

• Experience in evaluating and implementing emerging technologies and trends.

• Experience in digital transformation, including the adoption of cloud technologies.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements.

• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.

• Ability to work with data, perform analysis, and present insights through visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI can be important for data-driven decision-making.

• Understanding cybersecurity concepts and best practices is crucial to protect an organization's data and systems from threats and vulnerabilities.

• Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, C#, or others can be valuable.

• Knowledge of networking principles, including routing and network architecture

• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts can be beneficial in industries where these technologies play a significant role, such as data science or predictive analytics.

• Proficiency in system administration for various operating systems (Linux, Windows)

• Knowledge of software development methodologies like Agile, Scrum.

• Understanding IoT technologies and protocols is important for managing IoT projects and deployments.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
